Walking Dead Party: ZOMBIE PAINTING

So last week I did body painting with Matt Mikas at the UNDEAD CARNIVAL at The Box! It was put on by io9 and AMC's The Walking Dead. A wonderful undead time was had by all!

I did the post-mortem-rotting-flesh airbrushing and Matt was the perfect bloody-wound-stylist! Check out some of the results...

Some of the zombies were creepy.

While others were pretty.
Then some were just...dead.
And others searched for brains!
While others...wait, what were Kurt and I doing?! Perhaps zombie-making-out?

Recent Body Painting Adventures

I have not shared any body painting stuff in AGES, so this is a long overdue collection of what's happened in that department in the past few months!

DIRTY DISCO LAUNDRETTE
This event, organized by Adam Aleksander, was in an actual laundromat! 2nd Skin adorned the bartenders (who were wearing towels) with suds and glitter. You can see more pics from the party here, and Ventiko's photobooth pics here.

POETRY BROTHEL
I painted a burlesque performer live at The Poetry Brothel "House of Illusions" event. I did this back in the winter and it went so well they brought me back! This was a new poem written by the poetry whores.

RED LOTUS EVENT

Ages and ages ago Matt and I painted the staff at a party at the Red Lotus Room. Alas, I don't even know what it was called! Shrug.

AT HOME BODY PAINTING
A while back Kurt and I had an at-home body painting session, which I highly recommend! (You can use tempera paint, which is easy to find and flakes off when it dries but for playing around it's perfect.) Here's what I painted on Kurt, hope he doesn't mind me sharing!

Super Moon Body Painting

Last weekend I did some fun body painting for a super moon themed party put on by The Danger.

The staff/performers were wearing all white, so Matt and I painted them in a blue & white palette with starry motifs. Here are some pics!

Williamsburg Fashion Weekend

This past weekend I did some face painting with Matt Mikas (We are 2nd Skin Body Painting) for the No Name Collective at Williamsburg Fashion Weekend! We went with this French-Dadaist-mime inspired style, which perfectly complimented the clothes. It was a lot of fun!

Danger Halloween Party

Here are some pics from 2nd Skin's Halloween shenanigans at the Danger's Halloween party...

Before the event we painted dozens of people for the White Trick Army (an ashy white roving mob)...

Here was our stage in a side room at 3rd Ward where bystanders could watch the painting in progress...
