Recent Odds & Ends

Here are all my creative tidbits from the past few months that I was too busy to mention earlier...

***
Last month I was a guest speaker at Columbia University! I visited Jeremy Dauber and Paul Levitz's (former president of DC Comics) class on the American graphic novel, speaking about gender in comics and sharing samples of my own work. They also got a sneak peek at Will & Whit!

***
I met an adorable fan named Olivia at Raina Telgemeier's Drama homecoming book party at Bergen Street Comics. You never know where my stickers will pop up!

***
I made this for my Dad, who just retired. His nickname at work was "Bunny Slippers" since he's teleworked so much in recent years.

***
I had a little creative exorcism with my friend Pablo Airaldi. That drawing on the right is what my insides looked like the past 9 months.

***
I drew on walls at a holiday party.

***
I gave my shoes a makeover! But there was some cracking when I broke them in, so further experimentation is necessary for my shoe-glittering technique.

***
And I gave myself a colorful makeover: bleached eyebrows, angled bangs, and some yellow streaks on the side! Before and after...

And now we're all caught up!  Stay tuned, because next up I'll be sharing my new adventures like visiting Austin and playing with stop motion animation.

It sure is nice to start leaving the house again.

I love the shoes, and nice bunny slippers.
Always good to read your stuff, well done you! :-)
