I'm back! Bushcraft Dyes Recap.

I'm happy to report that I'm BACK!

I've been completely off the grid for the past 2 months struggling to finish Will & Whit, and miraculously amazingly somehow I made my deadline last week!  By the skin of my teeth, but I'm thrilled with how it turned out.  I feel it's something special and I really hope that you'll enjoy reading it.  These many months of intense production and isolation were challenging in ways I honestly wasn't prepared for, and it leaves me feeling quite spent and humbled.  Getting my life back in order and deciding what to pursue next feels daunting. But the support and understanding I've been lucky enough to receive over these recent months,  from my family especially, makes me optimistic for the next challenge! That is....after I take a couple well-earned weeks off.
And now let's back to blogging! We've got catching up to do...

***

Here's the recap from last month's BUSHCRAFT!
(Bushcraft is my monthly casual-creative-collective-meet-up at Low Brow Artique.)

Diana Arge led this session, teaching us low-water immersion dyeing.
(Dyeing seems quite suitable for the apocalypse season, right?)

We all brought in a few articles to dye, things from scarves to tees in need of a make-over.  This technique uses highly-saturated colors, so it doesn't take too long and it isn's too messy.

And voila, our garments are back from the laundromat!

Here's mine! I can't wait to wear my new shirt. (Now that I can leave the house and all!)

While our clothes were at the laundromat, we also did some iron-on's...

...watched some stop-motion animation inspiration for the next Bushcraft...

...and danced! The end. Til next month.
(That beautiful top photo was by Declan Zimmerman!)

Congrats and kudos on finishing Will and Whit! I'm so looking forward to it. How long before it hits the shelves?
