New Scenic Work

Here are a couple recent freelance projects!

First...here I helped a friend paint some signs for the TWO BOOTS PIZZA on Bleeker Street. It's always fun to paint in their folk artsy style!

And second...I helped another friend do some faux painting in a soon-to-open-restaurant in Manhattan called DISCOGRAPHY. We were aging it so it would feel like a smokey old dive bar.

Williamsburg Fashion Weekend

This past weekend I did some face painting with Matt Mikas (We are 2nd Skin Body Painting) for the No Name Collective at Williamsburg Fashion Weekend! We went with this French-Dadaist-mime inspired style, which perfectly complimented the clothes. It was a lot of fun!

Writing Mode

QUESTION: Where are all Laura Lee's new blog posts with silly artwork and fun projects? Where did she go?? Is she trapped under something heavy?!

ANSWER:
I'm not dead! I've been focusing my attention on writing the follow-up book for Page by Paige while the icky weather has kept us in hibernation mode. My goal is to pitch it to Abrams and hopefully get an offer back by the time the first book comes out in May. But that all depends on if this new script is any good...so I'm working on making it maximumly awesome. And drinking a lot of coffee. Fingers crossed.

"Page by Paige" Trailer

I've made a TRAILER for my upcoming graphic novel!

It features music generously provided by The Damnwells. I'd love to hear what you think, because I'm sure I'll be editing it further when the book is released.

And this here was the FIRST version of the trailer in case you'd like to check it out...
